The sixth annual César E. Chávez Commemorative Celebration will take place on April 1.
The Michigan State University César E. Chávez Commemorative Celebration Planning Committee, the city of Lansing's Human Relations and Community Services Department and the Lansing Community College LUCERO Program are joining forces to honor the life and work of Chávez.
The Chávez Community Leadership Luncheon will take place at noon at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center in Big Ten Room B and C, featuring Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero, Michigan Superintendent of the Year Yvonne Caamal Canul and MSU Doctoral Student and DREAMer Jose Badillo Carlos.
The Chávez Student Leadership Conference will take place from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center in Big Ten Room B and C.
