Inaugural MSU Women in STEM conference takes place Oct. 22-23

Michigan State University Women in STEM will take place Oct. 22 and 23 at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

Alumnae will have the chance to engage and connect with other MSU alumnae, expand their professional network and acquire tools and knowledge that can assist in furthering their career objectives.

Carol Ross, a career coach and team development consultant, will give the keynote address on Oct. 22. Titled “Networking Naturally”, the keynote will teach attendees how to take the stress out of networking and get better results in a way that feels natural; create a meaningful conversation with a stranger; and how to listen while networking.

On Oct. 23, the conference program will include presentations and breakout sessions that focus on professional development, leadership and entrepreneurship, including:

Effective Communication: Stand up, Speak Out, Be Heard· Innovation and Improvisation: More Than Making It Up As You GoIntellectual Property Management

One and two-day registration options are available. All MSU alumnae are welcome to attend. A limited number of student registrations are also available.
