Two early goals push Spartans past Toledo in exhibition action, 2-0

Michigan State women's soccer defeated Toledo, 2-0, in an exhibition match Saturday night under the lights at DeMartin Stadium. Sophomores Gia Wahlberg and Camryn Evans were the goal scorers for the Spartans, with junior midfielder Danielle Stephan tallying two assists.

"One of our goals this year is to get off to really great starts; get off on the front foot and we certainly did that with a quick goal and another one," MSU head coach Tom Saxton said. "It would've been nice to get that third one because that really would've changed the tempo of the game. Credit Toledo, they fought all the way down the stretch."
