Michigan State men's basketball redshirt senior forward Kenny Goins was one of 64 seniors from across the country selected to play in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament this week in Virginia. The P.I.T. will be held from Wednesday, April 17 to Saturday, April 20 at the Churchland High School Sports Complex in Portsmouth, Va.
"I never really saw myself in this situation five years ago," Goins said. "Hearing about it, it's impossible not to be excited. I'm ready for that next door to open. Michigan State is probably the only reason I'm going to be there."
A redshirt senior, Goins moved into the starting lineup in his final year on campus and was one of the most valuable players for the Spartans.
