The Michigan State University College of Law is inviting the public to a free talk on prison reform.
Marie Gottschalk, professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania, will present "Are We There Yet? The Promise, Perils and Politices of Penal Reform" at 2 p.m. April 14. Gottschalk specializes in American politics, with a focus on criminal justice, health policy, race, the development of the welfare state and business-labor relations.
The free talk takes place in Room 471 of the MSU College of Law, 648 N. Shaw Lane; a reception will follow. Parking is available in the Shaw ramp.
