Abbot entrance to MSU to be closed during daytime hours

The southbound Abbot Road entrance to the Michigan State University campus will be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 25 through June 10, Monday through Friday, because of a landscape construction project.

In addition, all parking spots along southbound Abbot will be closed from May 25 through June 17, and there will be some minor pedestrian detours.

During that time, drivers will be able to exit campus at anytime on northbound Abbot.

The landscape project includes the replacement of 21 Norway maple trees that have become a safety hazard due to declining health. There also will be sidewalk repairs in the area of Campbell Hall and the MSU Union that will improve accessibility.
