Spartans heading to Final Four after 76-70 OT win

Coach Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans capped an improbable run to the Final Four with an overtime win. Senior guard Travis Trice scored 17 points and the seventh-seeded Spartans clamped down on defense to pull out a 76-70 victory over fourth-seeded Louisville in a thrilling NCAA Tournament East Regional final.

MSU plays Duke, the No. 1 seed out of the South, in the National Semifinal at 6:09 p.m. April 4 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Read more at msuspartans.com.

On April 3, Spartans are invited to attend the MSU Final Four pep rally to support the men’s basketball team. The rally will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 S. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis. Register online by Thursday, April 2. Admission is free, but capacity is limited and advance registration is required.

MSU’s Breslin Student Events Center will open its doors April 4 for the Spartan faithful who are staying in East Lansing and want to watch the NCAA Final Four semifinal game in a fun, festive atmosphere. The Breslin watch party is sponsored by the Associated Students of MSU.
