MSU’s annual Global Festival returns to the Union

Students and people in the greater Lansing community explored cultures from around the world on Nov. 22 when the Michigan State University Global Festival took place at the MSU Union.

The festival offered performances, activities, gift shops and exhibits etc.

Interdisciplinary studies senior Jellisa Westney said the Caribbean Students Association was excited to have an opportunity to showcase their culture.

“We were excited about getting this booth because we will be able to share our heritage with other people at this school,” Westney said.

She said the best part about the Global Festival was the questions that people asked her about the different Caribbean countries and the culture.

“Being able to share that with people has been a really good experience,” Westney said.
