Michigan Science Olympiad State Tournament at MSU

The State Tournament of the Michigan Science Olympiad will take place on May 2 on the campus of Michigan State University in the MSU Auditorium.

“Participants of this outstanding event are tremendous examples of the motivation, dedication, and hard work that keep Michigan moving forward,” said Gov. Rick Snyder.

More than 450 high school and middle school teams compete at regional competitions during February and March, resulting in 96 teams selected to compete at the State Tournament. Students participate in 46 competitive events held in various locations on the MSU campus, among them: forensics, green generation, protein modeling, cell biology, entomology, bridge building, dynamic planet, bottle rockets, robotics, astronomy, and experimental design
