Lydia Weiss, former educational program coordinator of the Women’s Resource Center, has been appointed as the center’s interim director, effective immediately.
She succeeds Jayne Schuiteman, who now serves as a senior institutional equity investigator for MSU.
Weiss received her bachelor’s degree from MSU’s College of Social Science and her master’s degree in women’s, gender and sexuality studies from the University of Cincinnati.
She serves as adviser to the Women’s Initiative for Leadership Development and Women’s Council student groups. In 2013, Weiss founded the Women’s Networking Association.
