Harry Connick, Jr. to perform at Wharton Center

Harry Connick, Jr., multi-talented musician, singer, songwriter and American Idol judge announced a winter concert tour beginning Feb. 4 in North Carolina that will travel through cities such as Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville and East Lansing.

Harry Connick, Jr. will perform at 7 p.m. on March 1 at Wharton Center’s Cobb Great Hall.

The shows will feature music from Connick’s vast musical catalog, including songs from his most recent releases “Smokey Mary” and “Every Man Should Know.” To date, Connick has released 29 albums, won three Grammy Awards and two Emmy Awards, and garnered sales of 28 million copies.

With “Every Man Should Know,” Connick triumphs once again, with a depth of feeling that signals another milestone for one of the music world’s most multi-faceted artists. Critics have been quick to agree with People Magazine calling it “impressive,” and the Boston Globe saying the album features “his most thoughtful and personal songs to date” and says its “an album that every Harry Connick, Jr. fan should own.”
