The Michigan State University Women’s Resource Center and Women’s Advisory Committee to the Provost are co-hosting the annual Women Matter luncheon celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 1 at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center in the Riverside Room at the garden level.
The luncheon celebrates women of MSU and their accomplishments. The keynote speaker is Denise Maybank, vice president for Student Affairs and Services. Maybank was appointed to this position in July of 2013 after serving as interim vice president.
The tradition of honoring colleagues with personal reflections of their accomplishments that go unacknowledged continues. It is encouraged by the Women Matter program to pay a special written tribute to a colleague whose contributions have positively impacted the lives of others.
All written tributes will be displayed in the Women Matter program. Written tributes must be sent to wrc@msu.edu with “Women Matter” in the subject line by April 25 to be included in the program. Online registration for the luncheon celebration is found online under the “events” tab. There is a charge of $18 for the cost of lunch.
