Sharper Focus/Wider Lens returns Nov. 10

Increasingly, there has been a keen interest in how well prepared both students and society are for the massive scientific and technological challenges and opportunities currently present across our world.

In the midst of the debates about the future of STEM, there is worry that the arts and humanities are been left behind in interest and relevance. This panel will explore the intersections between the sciences and the arts to see how they work together advancing our appreciation and understanding of both.

Picking Up STEAM will begin at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Lake Huron Room of the MSU Union. All Sharper Focus/Wider Lens talks are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Picking Up STEAM is sponsored by the Honors College and co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Letters, College of Music, College of Natural Science, James Madison College, Lyman Briggs College, Residential College in the Arts and Humanities, Area of Composition, Department of Art, Art History & Design, and Department of Physiology.
