Ronald H. and Mary E. Simon Actuarial Science Lecture to be held Nov. 7

The MSU College of Natural Science and the Actuarial Science Program are hosting the third annual Ronald H. and Mary E. Simon Actuarial Science Lecture.

The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 in the Big Ten C Room at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. The evening begins with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the keynote.

The keynote address, “Catastrophe Modeling: How It’s Evolved and Where It’s Going,” is being given by Karen Clark, president and CEO of Karen Clark & Company. Clark co-founded the firm in 2007 to help companies better understand and manage catastrophe risk.

Registration is $55 per person which includes a reception, dinner and the keynote address. Please register by Oct. 22.

This annual lecture is strengthening MSU’s Actuarial Science Program by connecting students, faculty, alumni and leaders in actuarial science for an evening of scholarship and community.
