Children and youth ages 7 to 18 years old are invited to audition for the Michigan State University Children and Youth Choirs at the MSU Community Music School in December and January.
Five choirs are offered: Cantabile for ages 7-10, CMS Singers for ages 9-14, the MSU Children’s Choir for ages 10-16, Young Women’s Chorus for ages 15-18, and the Young Men’s Chorus for young men with changing or changed voices.
Auditions will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 19 and Jan. 9; and from noon-2 p.m. Jan. 10. Those interested should call the Community Music School at (517) 355-7661 to set up an appointment. Audition material does not need to be prepared.
“After an eventful fall semester of fun, learning, and unique performing opportunities, the Children and Youth Choir Program still has a lot in store for the spring semester,” said Kyle Zeuch, director of Children and Youth Choir Programs at the Community Music School. “There is a choir for everyone at CMS. Everyone is invited to audition and find out which choir can offer a wonderful experience."
The MSU Community Music School is located at 4930 S. Hagadorn Road, East Lansing, Mich.
