Improving athletic movement for the child athlete

The Spartan Nutrition and Performance Program, also known as SNAPP, is expanding its Speed and Athletic Enhancement camps to serve the even younger athlete.

Providing hundreds of mid-Michigan teenage youth with quality sports performance training and testing, along with sports nutrition education, SNAPP has created a new 6- to 10-year-old camp to help improve a younger child’s athletic ability.

FUNdamentals of Athletic Movement will focus on the age-appropriate development of basic movement skills, as well as topics on nutrition, which will be discussed with parents.

The camp starts April 27, 2014 and continues every Sunday from 6-7 p.m. through May 25 at the Hannah Community Center in East Lansing. Athletes between the ages of 6 and 10 can sign up for two sessions for $40, three sessions for $60 or all four sessions for only $75.

For more information or to register, visit SNAPP.msu.edu or call 517-884-6133.
