Conference on Lebanese civil wars

Michigan State University’s Muslim Studies Program will host “The Lebanese Civil Wars: History, Politics, Memory” Feb. 6-7.

The free public event will kick off with a screening of the film, “Incendies” at 8 p.m. Feb. 6 at B-122 Wells Hall. It will be followed by a discussion with Salah Hassan, associate professor of English.

Conference sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at 303 International Center, with a reception from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Co-sponsors of the event are MSU Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives, College of Social Science, Honors College, James Madison College, College of Arts and Letters, the Global Urban Studies Program, Global Studies in the Arts and Humanities, the Film Studies Program, the Department of Anthropology and the Arab Cultural Society.
