College of Music to present 'That's Amore' Feb. 2

The MSU College of Music will present “That’s Amore,” a concert showcasing Italian love songs, at 3 p.m. Feb. 2 in the MSU Auditorium’s Fairchild Theatre.

The songs have been selected from a number of well-loved operas.

This unique concert features vocal artists: Molly Fillmore, soprano; Melanie Helton, soprano; Anne Nispel, soprano; Richard Fracker, tenor; Harlan Jennings, baritone; and Peter Lightfoot, baritone. MSU’s premier choral group, the University Chorale conducted by David Rayl, and pianists Judy Kabodian, Alan Nathan, and Derek Polischuk will also take the stage.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and $10 for students with ID and anyone less than 18 years old. They can be purchased at the door one hour before the concert, online at music.msu.edu, in person in room 102 of the Music Building or by calling (517) 353-5340.

The concert is part of the MSU Federal Credit Union Showcase Series.
