River Trail Engagement Center grand opening set for Jan. 14

Michigan State University students are invited to explore campus’ newest neighborhood engagement center at the River Trail Neighborhood Engagement Center Grand Opening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 14 at McDonel Hall.

The event will feature prizes, food and carnival-themed activities. Activities are sponsored by the River Trail Neighborhood Engagement Center, Residence Education and Housing Services, Culinary Services, the Residential Business Program and a number of MSU student organizations, including the Owen Graduate Association, the Shaw Hall Senate, Van Hoosen Hall Government and McDonel Hall Government.

In addition to activities, the grand opening will give students the opportunity to learn more about the many resources and services available at the new facilities. The new Engagement Center will offer a wide range of services aimed at supporting students academically, physically and socially. Resources include a health clinic, math tutoring space, a community kitchen, Writing Center rooms and other general support services.
