Michigan State University’s Department of Theatre presents the 7th Annual Freshman Showcase. Loosely based on the characters and themes from “Alice in Wonderland,” this production features a creative team of actors, designers and technicians all from this year’s newest members.

An original creation, “Off with Her Head” tells a familiar story with an unexpected twist. Patricia is dealt an unfortunate hand in life and begins to unravel at the seams. The only escape from her tragic circumstances is to turn to a world of her own devising: Wonderland.

The play is directed by Deric McNish, assistant professor of acting, voice and speech.

Performances will be held Nov. 8-10 in the Arena Theatre at the MSU Auditorium Building. Show times are 8 p.m. Nov. 8, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Nov. 9 and 2 p.m. Nov. 10.

Tickets are available from the Wharton Center Box Office.

Actors rehearse for "Off with Her Head."
