MSU plans 2nd annual women's health research conference

The second annual MSU Conference on Women's Health Research, designed to showcase diverse research projects and provide a venue for research networking, will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 22 at the Kellogg Center.

The conference is sponsored by the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) Program, which provides mentorship and funding for junior faculty to perform research in women's health. Topics to be discussed include eating disorders, partner violence, breast cancer and ovarian cancer.

The event will take place in Big Ten Rooms B and C; check-in and a continental breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. Registration for the conference, which is free to attend, can be done at www.epi.msu.edu/bircwh. The conference is co-sponsored by the MSU’s Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, the Center for Gender in Global Context and the Reproductive and Developmental Sciences Program (RDSP).
