Julia Ruggirello, a sophomore majoring in special education, has received a 2012 Big Ten Network LiveBig Scholarship for Outstanding Service.

She is president of Community Action and Response Experience at MSU, through which she works to unify Lansing and East Lansing. Ruggirello currently volunteers at the East Allen Neighborhood Center, helping kids garden and foster healthy habits.
