MSU Board of Trustees to meet Dec. 9

EAST LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan State University Board of Trustees will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, in the Board Room of the Hannah Administration Building.

Following are several items the board will consider.

  • The board will be asked to adopt the 2011 Campus Master Plan Update. The plan provides a flexible framework for guiding the physical organization of the campus and is updated every five years.
  • The administration will ask the board for the authorization to begin planning for a major steam tunnel replacement project on Circle Drive from the Intramural Circle Building to the Library.
  • The board will be asked to authorize the administration to plan for updates to Spartan Stadium, specifically the replacement of existing scoreboards and the sound system.

Other agenda items include reports from the president and board chairman, a gifts and grants report, and the presentation of the Board of Trustees’ Scholarship Award Recipients.
