Head Debate Coach Will Repko and students from the MSU Debate team recently traveled to Washington D.C. to participate in the first-ever Inauguration Debate Series on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. In addition to participating in the debate, the team lent their expertise at a workshop a few days prior by showing new teams how to set up a debate program.
"We're excited to announce eight new historically black colleges and universities as a part of this effort have begun to commit to have debate as part of their undergraduate experience," Repko said.
But traveling around the country is just a part of Repko's job. Half of his time is spent doing research on topics, he said. "You can't enter into a debate without your side being prepared."
