International Education Week is Nov. 18-22, and events will be happening all across campus. IEW celebrates the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide, including MSU's international partnerships, practitioners and scholars.
This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is a part of the effort to promote programs that prepare people for global environments and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in America.
Some events happening throughout the week include:
- Global Festival — Nov. 16 Experience the world in just one day at the largest international celebration of the year, including cultural exhibits, live performances, a gift shop and more!
- Fulbright US Student Program Information Session — Nov. 19 MSU students and recent graduates are invited to this Fulbright information session, which will be presented by MSU's Fulbright Program Advisor, Joy Campbell.
- Scholar-led Campus-Community Book Discussion — Nov. 21 All are welcome to learn and discuss “We Could Have Been Friends, My Father and I: A Palestinian Memoir” by human rights lawyer and acclaimed author Raja Shehadeh. In this slim volume, Shehadeh recounts his family’s unique story within the arc of Palestinian history and politics.
- Peace Corps Coffee and Conversation — Nov. 22 All are welcome to to chat about the Peace Corps, ask questions of folks who have served, and meet other students interested in service.
