Michigan State University is closely monitoring the coronavirus situation in coordination with state and local health departments, and announced yesterday that the university will be moving coursework to virtual instruction.
Members of our campus community and invited guests from universities across the state and nation are also heavily involved in monitoring the outbreak and providing resources in their communities.
With that as background, we will be postponing President Stanley’s investiture ceremony scheduled for April 23, 2020.
Our focus right now is responding to this evolving situation and being proactive in keeping students, faculty, staff, alumni and others healthy and safe.
We thank all those involved and invited for your patience and understanding.
We look forward to rescheduling this event in the fall.
