This year's Haunted Aud tells a tale of Vengeance

MSU’s Department of Theatre invites you to join them for a vengeful evening at the 11th annual Haunted Auditorium scheduled for Oct. 25, 26, and 31. Filled with supernatural scares and chilling tales, the Haunted Aud is perfect for a Halloween spook.

This year’s production, "Vengeance," will use all three floors of the auditorium to tell the tale of a wronged character exacting revenge on her husband with the help of a deity.

A new event being added this year, "Monster Mash," will allow parents to take their children to the auditorium for trick-or-treating. The "Monster Mash" event is at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 and is $5 per child.

The Haunted Aud production is led by theater students Margo Skornia, senior; Kevin Mazur, junior; and Chris Badia, junior, who spent months organizing and coordinating the performance.

“Learning how to coordinate and trying to tie together all of the loose ends has been the biggest learning aspect,” Skornia said. “Also, since there’s so many people involved in this production like faculty, students and community members, trying to figure out how to get this big swath of people to work together and move forward has been a big learning experience.”

The Haunted Aud is a fundraising event to help further the experiences of theater students. Money raised will support the grants awarded by "stART" — a student organization affiliated with the Department of Theatre where they receive grants that can be used to help them with their careers.

The Haunted Aud, 542 Auditorium Road, is open to the public at 8 p.m. the following days:

Friday, Oct. 25
Saturday, Oct. 26
Thursday, Oct. 31

Tickets are $10 and available only at the door.
