The Michigan State wrestling team broke out on Sunday, January 27, defeating University of Maryland by a final score of 28-12. Michigan State won five bouts by way of bonus points en route to their second Big Ten victory of the season.
With a win on Sunday the Spartans improved to 5-6 overall on the year with a 2-4 mark in Big Ten action. This is the best Big Ten record for MSU since the 2009 season in which they defeated Michigan and Purdue.
