Michigan State baseball will be spending five days in the Dominican Republic from Saturday, Dec. 15 - Thursday, Dec. 20.
Dec. 17 started with split squad action, with half the team taking on the Dominican Republic Navy team at the DR Naval Academy Field near Santa Domingo, while the other half was in a different area of Santa Domingo playing at Unphu Field.
MSU's half that played the Navy had a daunting task ahead of it, as the DR Navy Team hadn't ever lost to a college team from the United States as part of the Dominican Baseball Camp and had only one tie.
