MSU Music celebrates Leonard Bernstein

The College of Music honors one of the American greats, Leonard Bernstein, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5 in Fairchild Theatre at the Michigan State University Auditorium. “Tonight,” a tribute to Leonard Bernstein, will feature MSU artists performing Bernstein works of all kinds.

Melanie Helton, soprano, will serve as the concert guide in addition to performing. 

In addition to vocal selections, the concert will also feature instrumental performances. Guy Yehuda, clarinet, will perform “Clarinet Sonata” and the Beaumont Brass will perform “Bernstein’s Dance Suite,” the final piece he composed.

  • Happy Birthday Mozart!, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28, Fairchild Theatre 
  • The King of Song, Franz Schubert, 7:30 p.m. April 1, Fairchild Theatre 

Tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for seniors (age 60 and older) and $7 for students with ID and anyone under 18, and can be purchased online, at the College of Music box office, by calling (517) 353-5340 or in person at 333 W. Circle Drive, East Lansing.
