Senior center fielder Lea Foerster (Portage, Mich.) has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division I First Team All-Great Lakes Region team, as the Association announced its 364 honorees for All-Region accolades on Thursday.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association’s 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member coaches from each respective region voted on the teams, and all the honorees now become eligible for selection to the 2018 NFCA Division I All-American squads.
Foerster recently wrapped up her four-year career, and will graduate as one of the most decorated players in her sport.
