Five Spartans scored in double figures as the MSU women's basketball team stormed past Bowling Green, 99-69, in the season opener at the Breslin Center. MSU has now won the season opener five times and the home opener nine-straight years.
The Spartans were led by a double-double from senior center Jenna Allen, who scored a team-high 17 points to go along with a career-high 15 rebounds. Junior guard Taryn McCutcheon also had a double-double with 16 points and 12 assists, which tied a career-high.
