Following its win over No. 7 Penn State last Saturday, Michigan State made the biggest one-week jump in the four-year history of the College Football Playoff rankings by moving up 12 spots from No. 24 to No. 12, the CFP committee announced Tuesday night.

The Spartans (7-2, 5-1 Big Ten) are the highest ranked team in the Big Ten East Division, one spot ahead of No. 13 Ohio State (7-2, 5-1). MSU and OSU will meet on Saturday, Nov. 11 at noon in Ohio Stadium; the game will be televised nationally on FOX.
