MSU men's soccer claims victory over WMU

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - In front of a record-setting crowd at WMU Soccer Complex, tough defense and timely offense led No. 6 Michigan State men’s soccer past No. 12 Western Michigan, 1-0, in front of over 3,000 fans on Wednesday.

“I want to commend our guys for coming into a really tough environment and playing a great game,” MSU head coach Damon Rensing said. “I think the 1-0 scoreline was a little bit unfortunate for us after we hit the post 3-4 times in the second half. I think that we played really well and managed a tough crowd. It is a sign of a good veteran team to come on the road and get another top 20 win.”
