Michigan State University was honored with a Michigan Breastfeeding-Friendly Workplace Award by the Michigan Breastfeeding Network. MSU received the award for the university’s contributions toward creating a more breastfeeding-friendly Michigan, with breastfeeding accommodations at more than 60 locations on campus and across the state.

MSU is the first Michigan university to receive a Breastfeeding-Friendly Workplace Award.

On Nov. 30, a ceremony was held to celebrate the Breastfeeding-Friendly Workplace Award.  Advocates of breastfeeding from across the university, MSU Extension and the state were also present for the ceremony.

Congratulations to the many individuals, parents and administrators who work diligently to create a breastfeeding-friendly environment for our Michigan State University community.
