MSU Union to host 2016 Global Festival

The 2016 Global Festival will be hosted 1-6 p.m. Nov. 13 at the MSU Union and will feature cultural exhibits, live performances, interactive workshops and children’s games that can be enjoyed by all audiences.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the World Gift Shop that offers a variety of international souvenirs, where all proceeds will support international student scholarships.

“The Global Festival is the biggest opportunity for international students and scholars to take the stage and proudly share their culture with the MSU community,” festival coordinator Joy Shantz said. “They spend a lot of time and effort on English and learning American culture, and this is a great moment for us to listen and learn in return.”

The MSU Union is located at the corner of Grand River Avenue and Abbot Road. Admission to the festival is free, with free parking at the Grand River Ramp.

The Global Festival is sponsored by the Office for International Students and Scholars, Community Volunteers for International Programs, MOSAIC, MSU Federal Credit Union, STA Travel, the University Activities Board and the MSU Union.
