Kellogg Manor House offers holiday events for children and adults

This month, the Kellogg Manor House is offering etiquette, gingerbread-house-making and holiday mixology classes.

The Manor House is hosting two children’s events that will teach gingerbread-house making and good manners. On November 12 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Gingerbread House Workshop, children ages 8 to 15 will design their own one-of-a-kind gingerbread house to display for the holiday season. The cost is $27 for members and $30 for non-members, which includes all supplies and equipment.

On November 16 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Manners at the Manor, children ages 5 to 13 will get professional etiquette training. Participants will learn about greetings, table manners, phone etiquette and more. A light snack will be included. The class fulfills the Listening to the Past and Etiquette Scout badges. Cost is $13 for members and $15 for non-members.

For adults, the Manor House is hosting a mixology workshop on holiday-themed cocktails on November 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to make three signature holiday drinks, while enjoying hors d’oeuvres. The menu will include spanakopita, a winter cheese plate, beef tenderloin medallions, grilled polenta with tomatoes and basil and dark chocolate pot d’crème. Recipes for the cocktails will be provided at the event. The cost is $45 for members and $50 for non-members.
