New home for summer theater

The Department of Theatre’s Summer Circle Theatre will soon have a new home.

Once complete, renovations to the courtyard located between the Kresge Art Center and the Auditorium Building will provide a new stage and a raised seating area for Summer Circle Theatre. It will also offer a permanent space for student actors, designers and technicians to present their creative work. And the venue will host performances for the entire community.

The Friends of Theatre at MSU has committed to raise $100,000 to support the project, and members of the public may donate as well.

This summer, Summer Circle Theatre will celebrate its 54th season.
