MSU Board of Trustees to meet April 12

The Michigan State University Board of Trustees will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Board Room of the Hannah Administration Building.

Following are several items the board will consider.

  • The adoption of new basic residence hall room and board rates.
  • Authorization for the administration to proceed with the construction of a 25-megawatt electrical duct bank for the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams.
  • Authorization for the administration to proceed with the construction of the proposed Bio Engineering Facility. The 130,000-square foot facility would house joint research between the colleges of Engineering, Human Medicine, Natural Science, as well as others.

Other agenda items include reports from the president and board chairman, a gifts and grants report, presentation of the Board of Trustees’ Scholarship Award Recipients, and presentation of the annual Diversity and Inclusion Report.
