IPPSR to host forum on product counterfeiting

The Institute for Public Policy and Social Research’s first Public Policy Forum of 2013 brings together researchers from law enforcement and the nation’s first comprehensive research and training program addressing product counterfeiting at Michigan State University.

The forum is set for 11:30 a.m. Jan. 16 with a light luncheon available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Mackinac Room on the fifth floor of the Anderson House Office Building. The HOB, as the office building is known, is directly across from the Michigan Capitol at the corner of North Capitol Avenue and Ottawa Street.

The forum is free and open to the public. Reservations are encouraged and are now being accepted. To reserve, email your name and contact information to ippsr-action@ssc.msu.edu or call (517) 355-6672. Registration is also online.

In addition to the forum Jan. 16, IPPSR planned three others. The additional forums begin at 11:30 a.m. and take place at the Mackinac Room in the House Office Building on:

• March 20 focusing on Michigan’s global agriculture role.
• April 17 focusing on threats to the Great Lakes.
• May 15 focusing on Detroit entrepreneurship.
