KBS to present first Dessert and Discussion series of 2012

The W.K. Kellogg Biological Station is hosting the first presentation of the 2012 Dessert with Discussion series "Gardens, Health and Healing: Folklore to Contemporary Practice" at 7:30 p.m. April 24 at the KBS Academic Center.
 
Guest speaker Joanne Westphal is both a landscape architect and a practicing licensed physician. Westphal focuses on issues of health in the built environment, therapeutic site design, context-sensitive design and research methodology. Her work includes evaluating construction standards to promote human wellness and examining communities to promote active lifestyles throughout all seasons.
 
Dessert with Discussion programs are free and open to the community. The session will be held at the KBS Academic Center located at 3700 E. Gull Lake Drive, Hickory Corners.
