Tee Times 4 Turf auction to raise funds for MSU turfgrass program

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Beginning May 1, golf enthusiasts from around the country can bid on rounds of golf at some of the top courses in the country to raise funds for turfgrass research.

The online auction, dubbed Tee Times 4 Turf, will raise funds for Michigan State University’s Turfgrass Science program and the Michigan Turfgrass Foundation. The Michigan Turfgrass Foundation is sponsoring the event.

"It’s really a win-win for golfers," said Trey Rogers, professor in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences. "Golfers get a great opportunity to bid and play on some of the best courses in Michigan and around the country at the same time they raise dollars for turfgrass research from which they ultimately benefit in the end."

This is the second year of the auction.

The online auction runs May 1-15 and currently features rounds of golf on more than 110 courses nationwide.
