An expert in the social dimensions of food safety and food quality, Harris focuses on how people and businesses make decisions when dealing with the interaction of the environment and the food supply. Can speak to issues regarding food recalls; fish farming; organic foods; use of pesticides and insecticides; genetically engineered food and drugs; and pasteurized vs. unpasteurized milk. Harris is also a core staff member of MSU's Center for the Study of Standards in Society
