Where: Activities and tours will be held by 29 different offices and units across the East Lansing MSU campus. Full list of participating units is available at the Take Your Child to Work website.

Who: MSU employees and children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, neighbors in their lives.

Why: Showing children what a parent or mentor in their lives does during the work day is important for increasing self-esteem and provides exposure to positive role models and career opportunities. There are a number of events during the day that are aimed at giving young people a snapshot of some of the exciting things happening at MSU. This includes:

Popcorn, Puppies, and Purpose Career Services Network
Student Services Building, Room 113, 556 E. Circle Drive 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to come by the MSU Career Services Network hub to munch on fresh popcorn, pet sweet therapy dogs, and participate in a fun purpose scavenger hunt. At Career Services, we believe that thinking and talking about purpose should be a fun, creative, and lifelong process. So, within our purpose scavenger hunt we’ll have fun activities and resources to help children creatively explore their futures. We also will have student Career Peers to help participants learn about purposeful careers that could align with their skills, passions, and ways they want to change the world.
