On Friday, June 21, 2019, the Michigan State University Board of Trustees authorized the construction of the Munn Ice Arena Expansion project.
In support, MSU men's basketball head coach Tom Izzo and wife, Lupe, have made a $1.1 million gift towards the project, while additionally contributing to the Spartan Marching Band and Student-Athlete Support Services.
This is the second gift of $1 million or more by the Izzo family since 2011.
