In a field packed with some top teams in the nation, the 25th-ranked Michigan State women's golf team placed ninth at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The Spartans had their best round of the tournament on Sunday at the UNC Finley Course with a 6-over-par 294 and finished 23-over-par 887 (296-297-294).
