For the third consecutive season and 19th time in the past 20 years, MSU will take part in NCAA Regionals. The Spartans, which are ranked 10th by Golfweek and 11th by Golfstat, are the No. 3 seed in the Austin Regional.
The Spartans have three players ranked in the top 50 in the country, including No. 17 Sarah Burnham, No. 34 Allyson Geer and No. 41 Paz Marfa Sans. All three were named to the All-Big Ten first team.
Burnham won her second consecutive Big Ten Player of the Year honor and became the first Spartan to win the Big Ten’s Mary Fossum Award, which goes to the player with the lowest stroke average to par (-1.21).
