Edward Rosick, associate professor in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, has been appointed to lead MSU’s Healthy Campus Initiative.
Launched by MSU Provost June Pierce Youatt, the initiative aims to build a healthier campus community by encouraging and maximizing collaboration among university groups and organizations that promote health and wellness.
In his new role, Rosick will be responsible for leading this cooperative effort and integrating information to develop effective, evidence-based strategies and programs that will address campus priorities.
Rosick is a strong proponent of integrative medicine, which he describes as, “the art and practice of dealing with patients by examining their whole mind-body-spirit interaction and using whatever appropriate methods are needed to achieve optimal health.”
He looks forward to making innovative contributions to helping the campus community better understand, and work toward, what health means in the context of university life.
Rosick’s new assignment will run concurrently with his appointment in the Department of Family and Community Medicine.
