Presidential politics: Who's winning Michigan?

Will Donald Trump win Michigan? Can Hillary Clinton trump Bernie Sanders in the Great Lakes State?

On the eve of Michigan’s March 8 primary, Michigan State University’s Institute for Public Policy and Social Research will present the results of a new State of the State survey showing how the hearts and minds of Michigan voters are trending.

IPPSR director Matt Grossmann, a nationally known political researcher and analyst, will discuss the survey results at a news conference on Monday, March 7 at 10 a.m. Charles Ballard, economics professor and director the survey, will also be on hand.

The event will take place in Room 309B of Berkey Hall, 509 E. Circle Drive, on MSU’s campus. Parking is available in East Lansing city lots across Grand River. Parking passes are also available by request.

The survey, a creative application of IPPSR's quarterly State of the State Survey, is based on questions asked of likely Michigan voters from Jan. 25 to March 3. It will show if voters shifted their opinions during the survey, which spanned major state caucuses and primaries, including Super Tuesday.

The news conference will be broadcast over Zoom, an easy-to-use web conferencing software. Join the teleconference and videoconference by clicking here or calling (646) 568-7788 and entering the following meeting ID: 934 553 143.
