MSU Board of Trustees to meet Friday

The Michigan State University Board of Trustees will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Board Room of the Hannah Administration Building.

Following are several items the board will consider.

  • A number of personnel items are up for consideration, including the appointment of Ronald Hendrick as dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
  • The board will be asked to approve the purchase of 150 acres of land in Tuscola County, which is intended to be used for the Saginaw Valley Research and Extension Center.
  • The board will be asked to allow the administration to proceed with a major renovation project on the commuter parking lot located at Mt. Hope Road and Farm Lane.
  • The board will hear a report from several MSU faculty and administrators who are working with the city of Flint during its current water situation.

In addition, the board will receive reports from the president and board chairman, and the gifts, grants and contracts report.
